Wanna get fit?
Only got 20 minutes a day?
Use the 20 Minute Fitness Solution website to get yourself sorted.
They are covering the push up challenge, including a nice little reminder on the right which tells you how many you should do each day and how many you've done in total (assuming you're keeping up!).
Got some new scales yesterday.
Seems they register my weight as a bit higher than my old ones, 13st 4lb instead of 12st 12lb. Not good! THat puts my BMI at just over 25, instead of just under :(However they also have a body weight thingy, and my body fat is down at 14%, which sounds very impressive. Have to see how this pans out over time however.
Well, that was boring. The ECG took about 1 minute, it was over before it had even started. I do however have a small bald patch in the middle of my (admittedly quite hairy) chest where it was shaved.
I don't get the results till next week from my GP apparently, ho hum.Well, for the first time I forgot to do my pushups yesterday, so had to do 35 today instead of 17 yesterday and 18 today - that was tough :)
I haven't managed to print a copy of this photo yet that does it justice, and I doubt I have a frame that fits it - what a tado...
I have a very weird heart beat at the moment. For the last week or so
I've noticed that it's what might be called 'relaxed', ranging from just
above 40 beats per minute (bpm) to just under 60bpm. A quick google
revealed that a 'normal' pulse is considered to be about 60bpm.
The doctor didn't seem to think there was much to worry about as a) I'm
quite fit and b) I have none of the other symptoms (fainting, chest
pains etc) but I get to have an ECG on Monday
anyway, just for the fun of it :)
Even if there is nothing wrong with me I still get to say I have Bradycardia, as that
just describes the symptom.
We'll we've passed a milestone of sorts, 15 days into the push up
challenge and half way through January it all seems to be going well. I
feel stronger than I have in ages, and the only reason I don't seem to
be losing any weight (12st 12lbs for the 3rd month running) must be
because of all the muscle :)
We know you never slack off at work, but if you did, what would you do?
Easy - go photograph something!
Another Newcastle...
This shot is taken in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. I keep coming across these photos from australia in my searches of Flickr. Some of them are really nice too :)
